What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 271 in Paris, TX on October 17th, 2022. Officials are saying it happened around 2:21 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 48-year-old Sulphur Springs man is alleged to have performed an unsafe lane change, striking a Chevrolet Cruze already occupying the lane it merged into. The driver of the Cruz, 60-year-old Treva Ann Cargile, was seriously injured in the collision. The Sulphur Springs man was uninjured. Additional details were not made available.
