What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 730 in Wise County, TX on August 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:45 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 72-year-old Azle man was headed westbound on County Rd 4668 when it failed to yield at the intersection with FM 730, colliding with a Kia Optima operated by a 26-year-old Boyd, TX woman. The woman was seriously injured while a 26-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. Three other passengers suffered possible injuries while the Axle man was not injured. Police recommended and/or issued a Failure to Yield Row at Stop Intersection charge.
