What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-10 in Beaumont, TX on April 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:49 p.m. Police allege a vehicle came to a stop in a lane of traffic in order to perform a lane change. As a result, a Subaru behind the vehicle slowed, causing the first vehicle to swerve to avoid a collision. The vehicle swerved into and struck a tractor-trailer. A 66-year-old Beaumont woman in the Subaru had injures believed to be serious in nature. The driver of the commercial truck was evaluated for possible injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
