What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-10 in Beaumont, TX on April 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:49 p.m. Police allege a vehicle came to a stop in a lane of traffic in order to perform a lane change. As a result, a Subaru behind the vehicle slowed, causing the first vehicle to swerve to avoid a collision. The vehicle swerved into and struck a tractor-trailer. A 66-year-old Beaumont woman in the Subaru had injures believed to be serious in nature. The driver of the commercial truck was evaluated for possible injuries.
