What Happened

State Police have identified the five people killed in a multi-vehicle crash at I-80 near Rawlins, WY on January 22nd, 2023. Officials say it happened around 6:52 p.m. and began with a Dodge Ram 3500 headed eastbound on the wrong side of the road. As a result, the Dodge hit a commercial vehicle and smaller car. Following this, the commercial vehicle crossed a median into the eastbound lanes, crashing head-on into a Ford F-150. Both vehicles caught fire in the collision, killing all five occupants of the Ford. Police identified the victims as Salomon Correa, Magdalene Franco, Andrea Prime, Suzy Prime, and Ava Luplow. Several others were taken to hospitals with undisclosed injuries. Police say the Dodge driver is suspected of being impaired while driving and was arrested on potential charges.
