What Happened

Kansas Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a teen and injured three family members on I-70 near Colby, KS on December  27th, 2018. 16-year-old Jaxon Buerge was killed when his family vehicle was rear-ended by a semi-truck. Three family members in the vehicle, 42-year-old Justin, 40-year-old Trisha and 9-year-old Maxwell were hall hospitalized with serious injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
