What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at Coit Rd in Dallas, TX on April 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:27 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Colorado operated by a 36-year-old Dallas man was involved in a rear-end collision with a Ford Explorer operated by 49-year-old Carmelo Cristodulio Lopez. Police say the Dallas man alleged the vehicle suffered from defective or worn brakes that contributed to the collision. Lopez was seriously injured while two passengers, ages 16 and 47, had less serious injured. The Dallas man and his passenger were uninjured.
