What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that left multiple people dead at 81st Ave in Thermal, CA on January 14th, 2023. Police are saying a Volkswagen Jetta headed eastbound collided with a. semi-truck at the intersection with State Route 86. It was alleged that the Volkswagen failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The driver of the Jetta, 26-year-old Alexa-Xiomara Felix-Reyes and four others, including two children, were killed in the crash. Two of the other victims were identified as 23-year-old Hernan Montes-Hernandez and 24-year-old Victor Manuel Marmulejo-Caurenta The truck driver was not injured.
