What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a pedestrian at Prospector Trail in Harker Heights, TX on February 15th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:35 p.m. According to investigators, a Lexus RX 350 operated by a 68-year-old Harker Heights woman was headed westbound on Prospector Trail before veering from the road for unknown reasons. After striking a cable box and mailbox the vehicle also struck a pedestrian, identified as 46-year-old Lionel Escoffery. Escoffery suffered serious injuries in the collision. The Harker Heights woman was not injured, according to police, and officers allege she admitted to consuming alcohol prior to the collision.
