What Happened

Area authorities have information on a two-vehicle crash that left a woman dead at Hwy 171 in Johnson County, TX on April 24th, 2023. Police say it happened around 10:36 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Equinox was headed southbound d on Hwy 171 before allegedly veering into the northbound lanes. Once in the northbound lanes, the vehicle is accused of colliding with a Ford Transit. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 61-year-old Mary Patterson, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The other driver, 41-year-old Warren Howell, had injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. Additional information was not available.
