What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at State Route 37 in Polk County, FL on April 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:10 p.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck is said to have went into a northbound lane while attempting to avoid colliding with a pickup truck before entering into the path of an approaching Kia Optima.
