What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 37 in Wood County, TX on March 30th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5:40 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 was southbound on State Hwy 37 is said to have lost control while rounding a curve in the roadway, veering into a culvert. Police say the vehicle went into a skid and struck a tree, catching fire and trapping the driver in the vehicle. The driver, identified as 25-year-old Garrett Campbell, was fatally injured. Authorities had no additional information available.
