What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 155 in Marion County, TX on February 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:20 p.m. According to investigators, an Acura SUV operated by 66-year-old Vickie Knowlton is alleged to have yield after pulling away from a stop sign at Josey Taylor Rd. The vehicle traveled into the path of a northbound tractor-trailer, the two vehicles colliding. The impact pushed the Acura from the road into a en embankment and utility pole, leaving Knowlton with fatal injuries. The other driver, a 62-year-old Jacksonville, TX man was not injured.
