What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-69 in Harris County, TX on March 30th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:55 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Sonic headed northbound before colliding with a vehicle being towed by a Chevrolet Silverado. The impact is said to have caused the Chevrolet to lose control and veer into a cement barricade. Authorities say the driver of the Silverado, identified as 36-year-old Theodore Matocha had possible injuries, as a well as a 12-year-old passenger. An additional passenger, identified as 33-year-old Samantha Matocha, was seriously injured, reports say. The other driver was not publicly identified and had non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports. Reports also indicate the driver was charged with Intoxication Assault.
